Today, @GeorgiaTech startup @SilaNanotech revealed it is building a massive US-based plant to produce its next-generation silicon-based anode material to reduce costs, boost energy density and enable faster charge in Li-ion batteries for Electric Vehicles (EVs) & electronics.
The factory will be housed in an industrial 650,000 sq. ft. building in Moses Lake, WA. Production scale? Enough to power over two million EVs each year. The first phase of operation will start in 2024.
