MSE student Taylor Sloop was selected for the DOE National Nuclear Security Administration Laboratory Residency Graduate Fellowship (DOE NNSA LRGF) essay contest. Sloop will work with a science writer to prepare her essay to be published in Stewardship Science, a magazine with a circulation of ~4,500. The essay is a jargon-free write-up of 750 to 900 words conveying to a broad audience how and why she got into science, what she hopes to learn from her work, and how society may benefit from advances in the field.
