Please join us to learn about RBI's graduate fellowship seed program for interdisciplinary collaborations in sustainable biobased materials and processing. The goal of the RBI Fellowship program is to develop new thought leadership by focusing on precompetitive, fundamental research that is inspired by real problems facing industry and/or society. At the lunch and learn you will be able to make key connections with industry and begin to identify potential collaborators. The Lunch & Learn can be attended in person or virtually and will involve interactive panels built around research theme areas (described below). We will also be describing some important changes to the fellowship program, including materials and supplies support, increased flexibility in coursework for fellows, and specific strategic initiatives.

1. Advanced processing of biomass and forest materials (energy efficiency, GHG reduction, water reuse, AI and ML,...)

2. Circular and carbon neutral materials (packaging, composites, wood products, etc.)

3. Biorefining and next generation production of fuels and chemical products (fuels, chemicals, monomers, intermediates, separations, feedstock preparation, LCA, supply chain...)
